Delhi: In a scathing attack on the BJP, AAP Delhi President Saurabh Bharadwaj accused the ruling party of deliberately misrepresenting forensic reports to incite communal tensions. Speaking to reporters, Bharadwaj claimed that the BJP’s handling of the issue surrounding Atishi’s speech was a calculated effort to manipulate facts for political gain.
“…AAP is fully aware of every fibre of their (BJP) being. Three days ago, I had already told you what would come up in their (BJP’s) forensic report… You heard the half-truth press conference this morning. I can now say with full responsibility that what was stated in the Punjab forensic report is almost exactly what is stated in the Delhi government’s forensic report as well. The Punjab government clearly stated in the forensic report that the word ‘Guru’ was not used… The Delhi government has said the same thing in a roundabout way, meaning they did not say that the word ‘Guru’ was used… The forensic report was supposed to clarify what words were spoken by Atishi… By bringing a report with half the words, the BJP government is trying to save face… Where there is no connection whatsoever, the BJP is openly trying to incite communal riots, and all these machinations are being done for that very purpose…,” Bharadwaj said emphatically.
Bharadwaj alleged that the BJP’s selective presentation of the forensic report was aimed at misleading the public and creating unnecessary communal tension. He accused the party of using administrative machinery and media narratives to distort facts and divert attention from pressing governance issues.
