Mumbai: Maharashtra Minister for Environment and Yuva Sena president Aaditya Thackeray on Thursday morning slammed the alleged racism being followed by the United Kingdom (UK) while approving vaccines administered in India. Netizens are equally furious as some States in India are not honouring vaccination certificates and asking travellers to carry their RT-PCR test reports.
Reacting to the furore in India over alleged UK vaccine racism, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) minister and Sena leader remarked that by creating such inequities or hurdles is not going to help the cause of global vaccination. He further remarked that it was quite oddly strange that a vaccine that is being produced in India with the license from the UK is not recognised in the UK.
Thackeray called for the G20 nations or the United Nations Organisation (UNO) to come together and formulate a common vaccine identification around the world. He further argued that vaccines given around the world are going to be qualitatively the same.
Taking to twitter, Rajesh Deshmukh from Bengaluru has slammed another kind of official apathy when it comes to recognizing the final vaccination certificate issued by Government of India (GoI). In his tweet, Rajesh Deshmukh remarked that “if UK is not honouring the Indian Vaccination Certificate, we are shouting against the UK. But in our country even some States are not honouring Vaccination Certificate and asking travellers to carry =ve RT-PCR test”.
