A new dawn for Yogasana in the Netherlands as Stichting Netherlands Yogasana Sports Association takes roots

The Hague, The Netherlands: The Netherlands has welcomed the dawn of a new era of Yogasana with the establishment of the Stichting Netherlands Yogasana Sports Association (SNYSA). This association, affiliated with World Yogasana, is dedicated to promoting Yogasana as a competitive sport and a holistic practice for physical and mental well-being.

Mission and vision – The association aims to foster a vibrant community that embraces the multifaceted benefits of Yogasana. Elevate Yogasana to the status of a recognized sport at both national and international levels, aligning with the recent inclusion of Yogasana in the 2026 Asian Games.

The Association will organize training programs and certification courses led by renowned yoga trainers. It will conduct national-level Yogasana competitions to identify and nurture talent. It will collaborate with schools, universities, and community centres to integrate Yogasana into daily life. Besides this, the Association will seek to forge partnerships with international Yogasana organizations and experts.

The leadership team of the Association is led by a dedicated team of professionals. The team is headed by its President, Pranita Adwait Deshpande, Secretary General Manasi Mohril, Director of Public Relations Mayur Muley, Zonal Head Harvinder Chahal, Members include Pinky Ratan Slager and Richard Lucien Slager.

By uniting Yogasana enthusiasts and professionals, the Stichting Netherlands Yogasana Sports Association is committed to making a significant impact on the Dutch community and contributing to the global growth of Yogasana.
