Ridiculed BJP MLA Adv. Ashish Shelar

Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) says that there are only 927 potholes on the 2,000 km roads in Mumbai. “So the allocation of Rs 48 crores by the BMC was meant to fill up these 927 potholes? questioned BJP leader MLA Adv Ashish Shelar.

Targeting the Shiv Sena and BMC, Shelar sarcastically slammed the 3D mapping in Worli and the pothole-ridden roads in Mumbai.

The issue of potholes is currently raging in Mumbai. BJP leader MLA Adv. Ashish Shelar spoke to media persons on Monday.

According to the portal prepared by the BMC, there are only 927 potholes. It is ridiculous that the BMC allocates Rs 48 crore to fill up these 927 potholes. This looks fishy. There seems to be a big scam behind this and investigation is underway and very soon the truth will come out.

Questioning the Mayor of Mumbai, Shelar asked if she is aware of the geographical facts of the city. “Has she ever seen the entire map of the city for developmental purpose,” questioned Shelar.

Whenever there is a need to make new footpaths, it is only in Worli…. Need to beautify signal and street light poles, it is done only in Worli…. There are flyovers and bridges spread across the city, but the beautification of its poles happens only in Worli… and now the 3D mapping is also done only in Worli….

Need to have a COVID centre, done only in Worli…. Installation of drainage pumps also from Worli to Kala Nagar…. Does Mumbai exist beyond Worli and Kala Nagar, questioned MLA Adv Ashish Shelar.

CM must enquire about health minister Rajesh Tope and his department.

Health minister Rajesh Tope’s apology is not sufficient to end the matter.

The health department is entirely responsible for the students who had put in a lot of hard work, had sacrificed on their family front only to clear the exams but have missed the opportunity.

How did some trafficker get the question papers in advance? How is it that the question papers reach such people? How is it that the police were unaware of it? Isn’t this an abuse of power? Hence apologising and setting himself free will not be appreciated.

The chief minister must investigate the health department headed by Rajesh Tope. Shelar suggested that the CM Uddhav Thackeray must look into the findings of Ramshastri Prabhune in this matter and execute the inquiry.
