In Madhya Pradesh, 15 people fell into a well in Ganjbasoda area of Vidisha district last night. The National Disaster Response Force, Police and District Administration are conducting rescue operations. Four persons lost their lives in the incident.
As per reports, the people had gathered to rescue a child who had fallen in the well. Meanwhile, due to overcrowding, the walls of the well collapsed and many of them fell into the well. Relief and rescue operations were started immediately. Vidisha’s in-Charge Minister Vishwas Sarang has also reached the spot from Bhopal.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced an ex-gratia of five lakh rupees each for the next of kins of the deceased and financial assistance of 50,000 rupees each to the injured. The injured will also be provided free medical treatment.
