Mumbai: Maharashtra Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil today assured the legislative assembly that a high-level inquiry will be done in the phone-tapping incidences brought to light by Congress legislator Nana Patole.
Earlier, Patole brought to the notice of presiding officer Bhaskar Jadhav that in 2016-17 his phone was tapped and the code name was given ‘Amjad Khan”‘.
Not only that, Patole, who is also the MPCC President, alleged that Union Minister and senior BJP leader Raosaheb Danve’s Assistant and BJP’s Rajya MP Sanjay Kakade’s phone was also tapped.He sought to know why a Muslim name was given to it. “Was it to disharmony in the society?”, he asked.
