Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar took a dig at Uttar Pradesh and Bihar over Covid fatalities.
“Data of COVID deaths are not being hidden. No data is being hidden in Mumbai. There is no river in Mumbai where bodies of people succumbing to Corona are being dumped. All COVID deaths in Mumbai are recorded at 3 places, so the data can’t be hidden,” Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar was quoted as saying by ANI.
She also made use of the opportunity to ridicule the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, where corpses washed ashore the river Ganga’s banks.
Menawhile, Mumbai reported 788 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, taking the total tally to 7,13,790. Now, there are 15,947 active cases in the city.
