MP govt to provide Rs. one lakh ex-gratia to kin of those who died of COVID-19 in 2nd wave

In Madhya Pradesh, the State Government will provide financial assistance of Rs. one lakh to the families of those who died due to COVID-19 during the second wave.

State reported 4,952 new cases and 88 deaths while 9,746 patients recovered from infection on day.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Rs. one lakh ex-gratia will be given to the kin of those who died of COVID-19 in the second wave.

Meanwhile, COVID positivity rate declined to 6.3 per cent.

The state ranks 16th in the country in terms of infection. The active cases in the state stands at 72,725. Both Indore and Bhopal have more than 11,000 active cases. More than 70 thousands tests are being conducted every day.
