Mumbai: CEO and Owner of the Serum Institute of India Adar Poonawalla who was also administered the Covishield vaccine has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching the world’s largest vaccination drive against Coronavirus.
Poonawalla was given the vaccine at his office in Pune.
In a tweet, he said, “I wish India & Sri @narendramodi Ji great success in launching the world’s largest COVID vaccination roll-out.”
He further said, “It brings him great pride that COVISHIELD is part of this historic effort and to endorse its safety & efficacy, I join our health workers in taking the vaccine myself.”
