Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to prepare the Covid-19 vaccine cold chain on the lines of the cold chain made for the pulse polio vaccine in the state. He said that concrete safety arrangements should be made for the storage centres being set up for the Covid-19 vaccine. The Chief Minister has already set the deadline of 15 December to complete all necessary works related to the vaccination drive of covid-19 in the state.
Instructing to maintain complete vigilance to prevent corona infection, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed to increase Covid-19 beds in Lucknow, Meerut, Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar, Jhansi, Ghaziabad and Gorakhpur districts. Presiding over a review meeting Chief Minister also directed the surveillance system to continue actively and pay special attention to contact tracing. CM said that the medical testing of Covid-19 should be conducted on a random basis. Meanwhile the recovery rate from covid has further increased to 94.74 percent in the state. There has been a constant decrease in the number of new covid patients in state and in the last 24 hours 1824 new cases have been found. State currently had 21374 active covid patients.
