Administration begins work on conducting Economic Census in J&K UT

Srinagar: A Block level training workshop of the master trainers of the 7th Edition of Economic Census was organised here in Bishnah on Tuesday by the National Sample Survey Office NSSO and Data Encryption Standard (DES) and Common Service Centre (CSC) Team. The official spokesperson disclosed that the workshop was organised by the CSC e-Governance Services India at CSC Shree Vaishno Institute SVI Chorli, Bishnah Block Bishnah district Jammu, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The objective was to impart training to master trainers (Enumerators and Supervisors) engaged in Seventh Economic Census (7th EC). The participants were trained on the key concepts and definitions, processes, digital platform and application to be used for the enumeration (data capture and supervision) in the field.

The workshop was attended by District Manager Bhawana Mahajan, District Manager  Nitin Singh Rana,  Supervisor of Seventh Economic Census (7th EC) Bishnah Sushil Singh Charak, Raman Kumar Supervisor of 7th Economic Census Panchayat Haraa Dabber, Bishnah .Naresh Kumar Enumerators of 7th EC, Anil Sharma  Enumerators of 7th EC and other Supervisor and Enumerators of the CSC-SPV.

Ministry of Statistics and Program Implementation (MoSPI) has partnered with Common Service Centres, CSC e-Governance Services India Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) as the implementing agency for 7th EC.-By Sushil Singh Charak
