Mumbai: We always discuss the misuse of media and the rising of cybercrimes, fake news about Covid-19 and so on.
On the other hand, there is also a positive side of social media which we rarely discuss. In this pandemic, one of the most important government measures is for ensuring social distancing so as to prevent the spread of covid 19 so many students severely impacted by the closure of educational institutions due to coronavirus. But in this pandemic, some institutions came forward and opened E-Learning ways for students such as
Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini.
The RMP is a not-for-profit organisation established in memory of the late Rambhau Mhalgi established in 1982, RMP is a training and research academy for voluntary activists and elected representatives of the people. RMP operates nationally through its offices in Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, and from it’s headquarter in Thane.
The RMP started many online courses for students all across the globe and gives an opportunity for students to have direct interactions with the eminent personalities, leaders, experts during the session. This interaction during the course not only boosts the confidence among them but also gives them hope for their positive future which is one of the important goals in this pandemic.
One can find these course details from Social media via Twitter and enroll ones name for one of the Foundation Course in Party Politics in India. It is a 5 days course including 3 hours sessions by three different speakers. I did so for one of the E-learning course.
Firstly, Hon Speaker of Uttar Pradesh Assembly Hriday Narayan Dixit inaugurated the first of its kind Foundation Course in Party Politics in India. A total 52 participants from 3 countries and 11 states are participating in this course.
Later on, Dr Vinay Sahasrabuddhe held a session on “𝗘𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮” The well-researched session intrigued the participants.
Then Ashok Tandon took a session on “Evolution of Indian National Congress.” Tandon shared a lot of anecdotes from his journalism career during the session.
After that Prof Guru Prakash, spoke about “Evolution of Party politics in Bihar”- with special reference to Rising of RJD and JD (U).
And he revealed an interesting thing that, nobody would remember a tiny, nondescript village called Belchi in Patna district of Bihar. But in August 1977, it made headlines when Indira Gandhi decided to visit the village. The Belchi visit changed the course of Indian politics and the fortunes of the Congress party.
The village was inaccessible but Indira Gandhi, undaunted, walked through slush. A local villager saw her determination and brought an elephant. She climbed on the elephant and finally reached the village after a nearly four-hour journey. This incident reveals our strong history and women empowerment.
Then Arvind Kulkarni, senior journalist spoke on the topic of Hon. Balasaheb Thackeray and the Rise of Shiv Sena.
Hon. late Balasaheb Thackeray was a great cartoonist, journalist, and politician and above of all a leader who had a very special place in his follower’s heart. He virtually ruled Mumbai for almost four decades. He started his career as a cartoonist in the Free Press Journal. As a freelance writer for free press journal, I am so satisfied by knowing this fact. Arvind also shared his personal interaction experiences with Balasaheb Thackeray Sir during his career as a journalist.
The next session was taken by Tarun Chugh National Secretary of BJP conducted the session on the history of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) is an Indian state political party in Punjab, India. Although, there are many parties with the name Akali Dal the party recognised as “Shiromani Akali Dal” by the Election Commission of India is the one led by Sukhbir Singh Badal. It controls Sikh religious bodies Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and is the largest and most influential Sikh political party worldwide.
The next session was conducted by SG Suryah state spokesperson & state president of the Yuva Morcha of Tamil Nadu, on the emergence and dominance of DMK & AIADMK in Tamil Nadu since 1952.
All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam is an Indian regional political party in the state of Tamil Nadu and in the union territory of Puducherry. AIADMK is a Dravidian party founded by M. G. Ramachandran on 17 October 1972 as a breakaway faction of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
And many other well-known personalities who participated in various sessions.
There were many challenges during this e-learning courses like connectivity, time management, hosting an event, gathering of all participants first via WhatsApp group then sent an alert before each and every class and also understanding of the busy schedules of all eminent expert speakers, the RMP managed and played a vital role in this successful E-learning session.
