Prime Minister Narendra Modi today saluted those who suffered torture during the emergency period. In a tweet today, Mr Modi said, emergency was imposed on the country 45 years ago.
He said, at that time, people who fought for the protection of India’s democracy, suffered torture. He said, I salute them for their sacrifice and this will never be forgotten by the country.
