Doctor tests positive who treated India’s 1st patient to die of Covid-19 in Karnataka’s Kalburgi

Doctor who treated 76-year-old man who died of coronavirus man in Karnataka’s Kalburgi has been tested positive for COVID-19, news agency ANI reported on Tuesday. As per the reports the doctor and his family members has been kept in quarantine at his home. He will be sent to isolation ward today.

Notably, the 76-year-old man, who died on March 10, was the country’s first victim of the deadly disease. He returned from Saudi Arabia on February 29 and was under treatment at Kalaburagi and Hyderabad for the infection.

As per the latest report the number of novel coronavirus cases in the country rose to 125 on Tuesday after fresh cases were reported from several states.

The cases include 22 foreign nationals and two persons who died in Delhi and Karnataka.
