Shah Rukh Khan has finally given his verdict on Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar franchise, ending the curiosity around his silence over the two films that have made a strong impact at the box office.
The Bollywood superstar addressed the topic during his latest Ask SRK session on X on Tuesday. While responding to questions from fans, Shah Rukh was asked whether he had watched Dhurandhar.
The actor replied with praise for both instalments, saying, “Loved both the parts….fantastic by the whole team!!!”
His brief response quickly drew attention, particularly because fans and social media users had earlier questioned why the superstar had not publicly spoken about the success of the films.

Shah Rukh’s comment comes after Dhurandhar and its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, emerged as major box-office performers.
Rather than commenting separately on Ranveer Singh’s performance or the film’s storyline, Shah Rukh praised the entire team behind the franchise. His response also marked his first direct public reaction to the films during the ongoing discussion around their success.
The actor’s remarks have since added another high-profile name to the list of Bollywood stars who have acknowledged the franchise.
Several Bollywood Stars Have Backed The Films
Before Shah Rukh Khan’s reaction, several prominent names from the Hindi film industry had spoken positively about Dhurandhar and its sequel.
Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Ayushmann Khurrana, Riteish Deshmukh, Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta, Hrithik Roshan, Anupam Kher and Rajkummar Rao were among the celebrities who expressed appreciation for the films or their team.
The franchise has also received attention from leading South Indian actors, including Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and Vijay Deverakonda.
Dhurandhar Box Office Performance
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar was released in December 2025, while Dhurandhar: The Revenge arrived in theatres in March 2026.
The first film reportedly earned around Rs 1,350.83 crore worldwide, while its sequel went on to collect approximately Rs 1,852.44 crore globally, according to reported box-office figures.
The strong commercial performance of both films has made the Dhurandhar franchise one of the biggest talking points in Indian cinema.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Next Film
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is preparing for the release of King, which is being directed by Siddharth Anand.
The film features Shah Rukh alongside Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhay Verma, Raghav Juyal, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi and Anil Kapoor, among others.
