Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal launched a fresh political attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that the Centre is focusing on filing FIRs against students instead of encouraging innovation and development. Referring to reports of police action during nationwide student protests, the former Delhi Chief Minister contrasted India’s current priorities with China’s technological advancements.
In a video shared on his official X account, Kejriwal claimed that while China is working on developing an “artificial sun” through nuclear fusion technology, India’s attention is being diverted towards action against students accused of mocking the Prime Minister on social media.”The process of making an artificial sun is underway in China. It will involve nuclear fusion to generate energy, and the sun will track plasma. On the contrary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi nowadays is busy filing complaints against students for making fun of him on social media,” Kejriwal said.
The video also featured news clips claiming that the Delhi Police had registered FIRs against students over alleged social media posts targeting the Prime Minister.
Questions Centre’s Development Record
Stepping up his criticism, the AAP chief alleged that despite more than a decade of Narendra Modi’s leadership, India continues to struggle with basic infrastructure.”The government can’t make roads. It can’t make a flyover or a bridge properly. Our cities get drowned even in the slightest of rain,” Kejriwal said while referring to visuals of waterlogged roads in Delhi.
He further claimed that garbage accumulation and poor civic infrastructure continue to affect cities across the country.
Political Allegations Against BJP
Kejriwal also accused the Prime Minister of concentrating on political battles instead of governance. According to the AAP leader, the BJP leadership is more focused on weakening opposition parties than addressing public concerns.”He is busy destabilising other parties, deleting and adding votes,” Kejriwal added.
Concluding his remarks, the former Delhi Chief Minister said the country requires leadership with a long-term vision and stronger focus on development, innovation and governance.
