Telangana Horror: POCSO Accused Allegedly Murders Minor, Her Family, Then Kills His Own Wife and Children; Massive Manhunt Underway

A shocking multiple murder case has sent shockwaves across Telangana after a man accused in a POCSO case allegedly killed a minor girl, her mother and grandmother before allegedly murdering his own wife and two children in Rangareddy district. Police have launched a large-scale search operation as the accused remains on the run.

According to police, the incident took place under the jurisdiction of Shabad Police Station in Rangareddy district. The accused, identified as Raju Kumar (35), is alleged to have targeted the minor victim’s family before returning home and killing members of his own family.

Authorities said the accused later telephoned his relatives, allegedly informing them that he had “finished both families” and intended to end his own life. However, he fled before police reached the scene and is yet to be traced.

The bodies of all six victims have been shifted for post-mortem examination, while forensic teams are examining the crime scenes.

Police said Raju Kumar had earlier been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and was out on bail when the alleged murders took place. Investigators are probing the sequence of events that led to the killings and are trying to establish his movements before and after the crime.

Meanwhile, the victim’s family has levelled serious allegations against the police, claiming repeated warnings about the accused’s threats were ignored.

Speaking to reporters, Naresh, the deceased minor’s uncle, alleged, “He killed my aunt and the girl. He harassed the girl earlier and a POCSO case was registered against him. He had openly said he would kill our entire family within a week or two.”

He further claimed, “We informed the police again after about 20 days that he was roaming around threatening to kill her. They told us they were searching for him. He got bail just two days after the case was registered. Now he has killed her, and this happened because of police negligence. The officers responsible should be suspended and the accused should be handed over to us.”

The family also appealed for protection and support for another differently-abled girl in the household.

Police have not commented on the allegations of negligence and said the investigation is continuing from all angles while efforts are underway to arrest the accused at the earliest.
