‘Only 8 Arrested, Bigger Names Being Shielded’: Arvind Kejriwal Launches Nationwide Signature Campaign, Urges Ram Bhakts to Join

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Friday launched a fresh attack over the alleged Ram Mandir donation embezzlement case, claiming that only a few people had been arrested while those allegedly responsible at higher levels were being protected. He also announced a nationwide signature campaign and a Sundar Kand Paath to mobilise public support.

Addressing the issue, Kejriwal alleged that the investigation had failed to reach the “bigger names” behind the alleged financial irregularities.

“Only eight people were arrested and jailed, while attempts are being made to shield bigger names. So, now the people will have to raise their voice and go to God,” he said.

The AAP chief announced that a Sundar Kand Paath would be organised in Delhi’s Rohini on Sunday at 11.30 am, urging devotees to participate in large numbers.

“This Sunday at 11.30 am, we will have ‘Sundar Kand Paath’ in Rohini. I urge all devotees and ‘Ram bhakts’ to be there in large numbers,” Kejriwal said.

He further stated that the religious gathering would be followed by a nationwide signature campaign involving AAP workers and Lord Ram devotees.

“From there, after taking God’s blessings, a signature campaign will be kickstarted across the country wherever there are AAP volunteers. This is not just about AAP; wherever there are devotees of Lord Ram who are pained by this incident will be a part of the signature campaign. The letter will be addressed to PM Modi,” he added.

The announcement marks AAP’s latest political campaign around the alleged Ram Mandir donation case, with the party seeking public participation through religious gatherings and a nationwide appeal to the Prime Minister.
