Siya Goyal’s Parents Demand Strictest Punishment
In a dramatic development in the Ketan Agarwal murder case, the parents of prime accused Siya Goyal have publicly stated that they would support the harshest punishment if their daughter is found guilty by the court.
Speaking to the media, Siya’s mother, Pooja Goyal, said, “If my daughter is found guilty, then she should be thrown from the same place where Ketan was thrown from.”
Her father, Praveen Goyal, echoed the same sentiment, saying, “From the fort where Ketan fell, the accused, even if it is my own daughter, should be pushed down.”
Their remarks come as investigators continue probing the alleged murder of 26-year-old Ketan Agarwal at Maharashtra’s Lohagad Fort.
Police Say Fiancé Was Pushed Off Lohagad Fort
According to the police investigation, Siya Goyal and her alleged boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary, are accused of pushing Ketan Agarwal off Lohagad Fort in the Sahyadri range, leading to his death.
The incident was initially believed to be an accidental fall during a trek. However, investigators later alleged that it was a planned murder and subsequently arrested the accused.
Family Says They Were Unaware of Alleged Relationship
Reacting to the allegations involving Chetan Chaudhary, Siya’s mother claimed the family had no knowledge of any relationship between the two.
“We did not know anything about Chetan. Ever since the engagement, she only spoke to Ketan,” Pooja Goyal said.
Father Hospitalised Amid Ongoing Case
Earlier on Thursday, Siya’s father, Praveen Goyal, was admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic after reportedly suffering a heart-related medical emergency.
According to reports, he complained of severe chest pain and was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where he is undergoing treatment.
Siya’s Version Under Investigation
During questioning, Siya Goyal reportedly told investigators that she did not want to marry Ketan Agarwal and had conveyed her decision to him before the wedding.
According to her statement, Ketan allegedly refused to call off the marriage and told her that his family was influential and financially powerful, claiming she would not be able to escape the marriage even if she tried to run away.
These claims have been made by the accused during interrogation and remain subject to judicial scrutiny as the investigation and legal proceedings continue.
Police are continuing their probe into the case while collecting evidence related to the alleged conspiracy and the circumstances surrounding Ketan Agarwal’s death at Lohagad Fort.
