At a major “Bhoomi Pujan Samaroh” held for a 10,000-ton aluminium extrusion press facility at Yantra India Limited in Nagpur, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis highlighted India’s growing defence strength and industrial self-reliance, linking it to the country’s broader strategic transformation.
The event focused on strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities and boosting industrial capacity under the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Speaking at the ceremony, Fadnavis pointed to India’s evolving global image and defence preparedness.
He said, “When Operation Sindoor was done, the entire world saw India’s progress and its strategic capability. The entire world now believes that India is a country which cannot be played with.”
Emphasising a shift in India’s global standing, the Chief Minister added that the country today is fundamentally different from the past.
“This is not old India, this is New India. This India stands on its full strength, with aatmanirbharta…” he said.
The remarks came during the foundation ritual for the large-scale aluminium extrusion press project, which is expected to play a key role in defence production, industrial manufacturing, and reducing import dependency.
