‘Enough Is Enough’: Rahul Gandhi Calls Students to Streets Over Paper Leaks, Job Delays

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has launched a fresh attack on the Centre, urging students and government job aspirants from across the country to gather in Rajasthan’s Kota on June 17 and raise their voices against exam paper leaks, cancelled tests and delayed recruitment processes.

In a message addressed to young Indians, Gandhi said millions of students are struggling with uncertainty despite years of hard work and preparation, alleging that repeated failures in the examination and recruitment system are jeopardising their future.

Congress Launches Youth-Focused Campaign

The Congress leader said examination scandals and recruitment delays are not merely administrative failures but issues that directly affect the lives and careers of students. He argued that aspirants who dedicate years to preparing for competitive exams deserve transparency and fair opportunities.

According to Gandhi, growing frustration among students reflects a deeper crisis in the education and employment ecosystem, where deserving candidates often face setbacks due to irregularities beyond their control.

Kota Rally to Mark Beginning of Nationwide Movement

The protest programme, titled “Chhatron Ki Goonj” (Students’ Echo), will be held at Shri Ram Rangmanch in Kota’s Dussehra Maidan. The city, known for its vast coaching industry and large student population, has been chosen as the starting point for the campaign.

Congress leaders said the initiative aims to provide a platform for students and job seekers to express concerns about examination integrity, recruitment transparency and employment opportunities.

Campaign to Expand Across India

Following the Kota event, the party plans to take the campaign to other cities, including Allahabad, Patna and Delhi. The outreach programme is being conducted under the banner “Save Education, Save Your Future.”

Congress believes the issue resonates with a large section of young voters who have been affected by examination controversies and delays in government hiring processes in recent years.

Focus on Students and Aspirants

The opposition party is positioning the campaign as a movement centred on the aspirations of India’s youth. Gandhi has called on students to unite and collectively highlight issues they face in pursuing education and employment opportunities.
