DIG Armed Kashmir Reviews SANJY-2026 Preparedness During Inspection of 14 JKAP Units at Gagangeer, Manigam and Manasbal

Srinagar: In preparation for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 (SANJY-2026), DIG Armed Kashmir, Shri Maqsood-ul-Zaman (IPS), conducted a comprehensive inspection of various establishments of 14 JKAP to review security arrangements and operational preparedness.

The visit began at D Company, 14 JKAP, Gagangeer (Sonamarg), where the DIG assessed the security grid and overall readiness for the annual pilgrimage. Interacting with officers and personnel, he stressed the importance of maintaining a high level of alertness and operational efficiency. He directed all ranks to remain extra vigilant and proactive in the discharge of their duties to ensure the safe and smooth conduct of the Yatra.

The DIG then visited A Company, 14 JKAP, PTS Manigam, where he inspected the Transit Camp established for SANJY-2026. He reviewed the infrastructure, security arrangements, accommodation facilities and other logistical preparations for the convenience and safety of pilgrims. Emphasising effective coordination and disciplined conduct, he instructed personnel to be prepared for any emerging situation during the pilgrimage.

Subsequently, Shri Maqsood-ul-Zaman visited the Headquarters of 14 JKAP at Manasbal, where he held a Darbar with officers and officials of the battalion. During the interaction, he listened to grievances and welfare-related issues raised by the personnel and assured them that all genuine concerns would be addressed through the appropriate channels.

Appreciating the dedication and commitment of the force, the DIG urged all ranks to continue performing their responsibilities with professionalism, discipline and devotion, particularly in view of the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026.

He also interacted with officers and officials earmarked for SANJY-2026 duties and issued necessary directions to ensure foolproof security and efficient management of the Yatra.
