CJP Steps Up Campaign Ahead of June 6 Demonstration
The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), which began as a viral youth-driven movement on social media, is rapidly transforming into an organised campaign with a national presence. On Wednesday, the group unveiled three official spokespersons and outlined plans for a major protest in Delhi aimed at highlighting concerns surrounding India’s education system.
During a media briefing in the national capital, the newly appointed representatives said the movement intends to raise issues affecting students, including examination controversies, accountability in educational institutions and broader policy reforms.
New Leadership Team Introduced
The organisation announced Saurav Das, Vijeta Dahiya and Ashutosh Ranka as its official spokespersons. The trio addressed journalists and said the movement would continue expanding its outreach among students, young professionals and education activists across the country.
They also detailed preparations for the June 6 gathering at Jantar Mantar, which organisers expect will attract participants from several states.
Sonam Wangchuk Throws Weight Behind Movement
The campaign received a significant boost after education reform advocate and environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk publicly endorsed the protest.
Wangchuk revealed that he had personally spoken with CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke before deciding to support the initiative. According to him, he sought clarity regarding the organisation’s objectives and funding sources before offering his backing.
After those discussions, Wangchuk said he was convinced the movement was being driven by genuine concerns of Indian youth and not influenced by outside interests.
In a message posted on social media, he indicated that he plans to join the June 6 protest if no meaningful action is taken on the concerns being raised by students and education activists.
Education System at the Centre of Debate
While recent controversies involving competitive examinations have drawn widespread public attention, Wangchuk said his support extends beyond any single incident.
He noted that his decades-long work in the education sector has made him increasingly concerned about systemic challenges facing students. According to Wangchuk, improving educational quality and restoring trust in institutions should be treated as national priorities.
The movement has increasingly positioned itself around demands for greater transparency, stronger accountability and reforms aimed at protecting students from recurring examination-related controversies.
Prakash Raj Signals Support
Actor Prakash Raj also expressed solidarity with the campaign and indicated that he is attempting to travel to Delhi to participate in the protest despite professional commitments.
Sharing Wangchuk’s message online, Raj praised the movement and encouraged young people to take part in the demonstration.
His endorsement adds another prominent public voice to a campaign that has rapidly gained attention among students and social media users.
From Online Campaign to National Platform
What started as an internet-driven response to remarks that angered many young Indians has evolved into a broader platform focused on education, youth representation and public accountability.
With high-profile supporters joining the cause and preparations intensifying ahead of June 6, the Cockroach Janata Party is seeking to transform online momentum into a visible public mobilisation that could place education reforms firmly at the centre of the national conversation.
