Mumbai: Chandigarh’s Seerat Ghuman produced a composed and clinical performance to outplay Karnataka’s Veda Ponnappa 11-6, 12-10, 11-5 in the Girls’ Under-13 round-of-32 clash of the Avaada-Otters Club All-India Squash Tournament 2026 at the Otters Club courts in Bandra on Tuesday.
Seerat maintained control through precise shot-making and calm court coverage to seal a straight-games victory and advance comfortably to the next round.
In another Girls’ Under-13 encounter, Samairaa Gandhi overcame an early challenge from Spruha Wairagade before finding her rhythm to secure a 12-10, 11-4, 11-5 win and book her place in the pre-quarterfinals.
The Boys’ Under-17 category witnessed one of the most exciting matches of the day as Tanmay Samaiya displayed tremendous fighting spirit to rally from two games down and defeat Rohan Mandal 9-11, 8-11, 11-9, 11-4, 11-7 in a thrilling five-game battle.
Meanwhile, Shaurya Sahay advanced with ease after defeating Arhaan Kapoor 11-7, 11-5, 11-1 in straight games.
