“He Will Complete a Century of Awards”: Sanjay Raut Mocks PM Modi Over Sweden Honour

Sanjay Raut Takes Swipe At PM Modi Over International Honour

Sanjay Raut on Monday launched a sharp political attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi after Sweden conferred the ‘Royal Order of Polar Star Commander Grand Cross’ on the Indian leader.

Reacting to the honour, the Shiv Sena (UBT) MP mocked the Prime Minister’s growing list of international recognitions and questioned the significance of such awards for ordinary citizens.

“He will complete the century in getting awards. He gets the highest award in whatever country he visits,” Raut said while addressing reporters.

He further took aim at the Prime Minister’s foreign visits, saying, “What will he do with this award? He is telling us not to go on foreign trips, and he himself is visiting countries.”

Opposition Criticism Intensifies Over Foreign Visits

Raut’s remarks come amid continued opposition criticism over the Centre’s foreign policy outreach and the Prime Minister’s international engagements.

The latest Swedish honour was presented as India and Sweden elevated their bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership during high-level meetings in Gothenburg. However, opposition leaders have attempted to shift the focus toward domestic political and economic concerns.

The BJP has not officially responded to Raut’s remarks on the Sweden honour.

Raut Demands Accountability In NEET-UG Paper Leak Case

Apart from targeting the Prime Minister, Sanjay Raut also raised questions over the ongoing NEET-UG 2026 paper leak controversy and demanded accountability from the Union Education Ministry.

“The education minister of the country should take responsibility for the NEET paper leak,” he said while reacting to the ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities linked to the medical entrance examination.

The Rajya Sabha MP further alleged political connections in the case and claimed, “All these people are linked to the BJP.”

NEET Leak Row Continues To Trigger Political Storm

The NEET-UG paper leak case has become a major political flashpoint, with opposition parties accusing the government of failing to protect the integrity of national examinations.

The Central Bureau of Investigation is currently probing the matter and has already arrested multiple accused in connection with the alleged leak network.

The controversy has sparked nationwide concern among students and parents, while political parties continue to trade accusations over accountability and examination security.
