Fresh Political War of Words Over Voting Process
Amid ongoing repolling in parts of West Bengal, Sanjay Raut has alleged widespread issues with electronic voting machines (EVMs), claiming such concerns are not limited to one state but have surfaced across the country.
Speaking in Mumbai, the Shiv Sena Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction leader said similar incidents had occurred in Maharashtra and Assam, suggesting a broader pattern in the electoral process.
Credits TMC Workers for Triggering Repoll
Referring to the situation in West Bengal, Raut stated that the vigilance of workers from the All India Trinamool Congress played a key role in bringing alleged irregularities to light, ultimately leading to the decision for repolling in certain areas.
Criticism of Election Authorities Intensifies
Raut further accused the election machinery of engaging in what he termed “corrupt practices,” claiming that sustained pressure from the Trinamool Congress forced authorities to order fresh polling in affected booths.
Political Tensions Rise Ahead of Results
The remarks add to the escalating political tensions surrounding the West Bengal elections, where allegations and counter-allegations over transparency and fairness have dominated the discourse.
