Rahul Gandhi Targets Mamata Banerjee, Says ‘Jobs In Bengal Only For TMC-Linked People’

Rahul Gandhi Launches Sharp Attack On Mamata Banerjee Over Corruption And Jobs

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, launched a fierce political attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleging that employment opportunities in the state are available only to those connected with the ruling Trinamool Congress.

In a strongly worded post on X, the Congress leader claimed that ordinary citizens in West Bengal are being sidelined while corruption continues to dominate the state’s administration.

“In West Bengal, you get employment only if you’re connected to TMC – ordinary people just keep rubbing their hands in despair! That’s the truth – in corruption, Mamata ji is in no way less than Modi ji!” Rahul Gandhi said.

The remarks have intensified the Congress party’s offensive against both the Trinamool Congress and the BJP ahead of upcoming political battles.

Rahul Gandhi Says BJP And TMC Have Damaged West Bengal

Addressing an event on Saturday, Rahul Gandhi accused both the BJP at the Centre and the TMC in West Bengal of fostering corruption and pushing the state into crisis.

He alleged that corruption under both parties has hurt the state’s youth and worsened the safety environment for women, creating public anger and a growing demand for political change.

According to Rahul Gandhi, the combined impact of BJP and TMC governance has “devastated” West Bengal and left many young people disappointed with the political system.

Congress Claims It Is The Only Real Challenger To BJP

Rahul Gandhi also asserted that the Congress remains the only party capable of defeating the BJP nationally, stressing that the party’s ideological commitment sets it apart from other opposition forces.

He stated that unlike regional parties, Congress cannot compromise with the BJP and remains committed to fighting what he described as divisive politics.

The statement is seen as a clear political message to opposition allies, especially regional parties like the TMC, as Congress seeks to expand its influence in key states.

Rahul Gandhi Compares Bharat Jodo Yatra With PM Modi’s Politics

Reiterating the Congress party’s political messaging, Rahul Gandhi highlighted the Bharat Jodo Yatra, saying the campaign was launched to unite the country from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.

He contrasted it with what he called Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Bharat Todo Yatra”, accusing the BJP of dividing people for political gain.

The Congress leader argued that the ideological battle in Indian politics is between unity and division, placing Congress as the force for national integration.

Rahul Gandhi Targets PM Modi Over Foreign Policy Remarks

In another strong attack, Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of projecting strength domestically while allegedly appearing submissive before foreign leaders.

Referring to PM Modi’s “56-inch chest” remark, Rahul Gandhi said that India’s freedom fighters never bowed before any global power, while accusing the Prime Minister of lowering his head before leaders such as former US President Donald Trump.

The comments are likely to trigger a sharp response from the BJP, as the Congress escalates its rhetoric against both the central and West Bengal governments.

Congress Sharpens Political Pitch Ahead Of Key Electoral Battles

Rahul Gandhi’s dual attack on Mamata Banerjee and Prime Minister Modi signals the Congress party’s attempt to sharpen its independent political identity before upcoming elections.

By accusing the TMC of corruption in West Bengal and attacking the BJP at the national level, Congress appears to be positioning itself as an alternative to both parties.
