A new rift appears to be emerging between the governments of Donald Trump and Israel after large-scale Israeli airstrikes hit key fuel storage sites in Tehran. The attacks reportedly set several oil depots ablaze, sending huge columns of smoke and flames into the sky across parts of the Iranian capital.

The conflict has already shaken global energy markets. Oil prices have climbed above 100 dollars per barrel for the first time in more than three years as investors fear disruptions to production and shipping routes in the region.
