Pune: Ahead of the Pune civic elections, the two factions of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), led by Sharad Pawar (NCP) and Ajit Pawar (NCP-SP), unveiled a joint manifesto outlining key development promises aimed at improving city infrastructure, public services, and quality of life for residents.
The manifesto focuses on several major civic issues, with the parties highlighting their commitment to both urban development and citizen welfare.

- Roads and Traffic: Fixing 33 missing road links across Pune to reduce congestion, widening key roads, and improving overall traffic flow.
- Public Transport: Providing free travel for commuters on buses and metro services to encourage public transportation and ease daily travel costs.
- Healthcare: Constructing hospitals within a two-kilometre radius in all areas, ensuring that basic medical services are accessible to every resident.
- Eco-Friendly Initiatives: Housing societies adopting eco-friendly practices will receive a 20% rebate on property tax and a “Green Society” certification to promote sustainable living.
