Mumbai: In a major update for beneficiaries of the Ladki Bahin Yojana, the Maharashtra Mahayuti government has decided to release the pending November and December instalments together, following a delay in the transfer scheduled for last month. Women enrolled in the scheme will now receive ₹3,000 in a single payout later this month.

The last credited instalment was for October 2025, leaving many beneficiaries anxious when the November payment did not reflect in their bank accounts even by December 7. Several women suspected their KYC documents might be the reason for the hold-up.

Under the scheme’s timeline, the 17th instalment was expected to reach beneficiaries in the first week of December. However, officials confirmed that the amount will now be credited along with the 18th instalment, merging both months into one transfer.

A concerned beneficiary expressed the growing anxiety among women, saying, “Every month we used to receive ₹1,500 in the first week, but this time no money has arrived in December yet.”

To address the issue, Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare clarified that KYC completion by December 31, 2025, is mandatory for uninterrupted benefits. She warned that future instalments will be stopped if beneficiaries fail to update their KYC details in time.
