Patna: In a bold electoral pledge, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav announced on Thursday that, if the Mahagathbandhan comes to power in Bihar, one member from every household without a government job will be guaranteed employment.
Speaking at a press conference in Patna, Yadav detailed that a new law ensuring this employment guarantee would be enacted within 20 days of forming the government. He added that the scheme would be fully operational across Bihar within 20 months of assuming office.
“We will ensure that every household has at least one person employed in a government position after our government takes charge. A new act will be introduced within 20 days, and within 20 months, not a single household will be left without a government job,” Yadav asserted.
The Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly emphasized that his promise is grounded in data and not mere rhetoric. “This is my pledge. This can be achieved. This is no jumlebaazi,” he said.
Yadav also highlighted the public’s desire for change in Bihar. “Alongside social justice, we will guarantee economic justice for all. This is achievable with determination. Our proposals have often been copied by others, but we remain committed to fulfilling them,” he added.
