New Delhi: BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia on Saturday criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his four-day foreign visit, alleging that the opposition leader’s only purpose abroad is to defame India.
Bhatia highlighted India’s growing strength under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and praised the armed forces, citing Operation Sindoor as an example of India sending a “strong message” on national security.
He said, “India’s Leader of the Opposition has been on foreign soil for four days. And his only job is to defame India, which is progressing towards development.”
Bhatia also drew comparisons with the previous UPA government, raising concerns over national security. “In the UPA government, P. Chidambaram was the Home Minister, and yesterday, Manish Tewari, a former minister, made revelations. This revelation is worrying. It scares us that a government given the constitutional responsibility to protect India’s sovereignty became a puppet in the hands of foreign powers,” he added.
