Patna: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has taken a strong stance on Bihar’s development issues, questioning the record of previous governments as the state heads toward elections. Speaking to the media, he said, “Not just on Twitter, we say everywhere that we are looking at the condition of Bihar. What did those who ruled Bihar for 20 years do?… Look at the state of education, earnings, irrigation, healthcare, per capita income, investment… Why didn’t these people talk about this earlier? Now that the election is here and Tejashwi is talking about it, they are doing this… Who are these people trying to fool?”

Tejashwi’s remarks come amid growing political debates over Bihar’s economic and social development. He highlighted critical areas such as education, healthcare, irrigation facilities, investment inflows, and per capita income as metrics to assess governance.

The RJD leader argued that despite repeated promises, long-standing issues in these sectors have remained unresolved, pointing fingers at those who governed Bihar for two decades. His comments also underline his party’s focus on accountability and the need for tangible development outcomes rather than mere political rhetoric.
