“Over 100 Terrorists Eliminated in Precision Strikes After Pahalgam Attack,” Says Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Lok Sabha

New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday delivered a powerful address in the Lok Sabha, revealing key operational details of ‘Operation Sindoor’, India’s retaliatory military campaign following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. In a statement that drew thunderous applause from the ruling benches, Singh confirmed that the Indian Armed Forces had carried out precision strikes on nine terrorist infrastructure targets, eliminating over 100 terrorists, trainers, handlers, and associates.

“Soon after the Pahalgam attack, our Armed Forces took action and hit with precision the nine terrorist infra sites in which more than 100 terrorists, their trainers, and handlers were targeted,” Singh said, while underscoring the swift and decisive response of the military.

He emphasized the coordination and efficiency of the strikes, calling them a well-executed military operation. “The well-coordinated strikes carried out by our Armed Forces hit 9 terrorist infrastructure targets with precision. In this military operation, it is estimated that over a hundred terrorists, their trainers, handlers, and associates were killed,” he added.

Singh further stated that most of those killed in the operation were affiliated with internationally designated terror organisations, including Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

The announcement came during an emotionally charged debate over Operation Sindoor, as the Parliament continued to discuss the government’s military response to the brutal Pahalgam massacre, in which 26 civilians, including a Nepali tourist, were gunned down by Pakistan-backed terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.
