“Show Me Even a Broken Glass”: Ajit Doval Slams Foreign Media, Hails Operation Sindoor as India’s Moment of Precision and Power

Chennai: National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Friday strongly defended Operation Sindoor, India’s daring cross-border counter-strike against Pakistan-based terror outfits, calling it “a proud moment for India” and slamming foreign media reports that alleged collateral damage within Indian territory.

Speaking at the 62nd Convocation of IIT Madras, Doval confidently challenged detractors and skeptics:
“Show me even one photo of Indian damage — even a glass being broken,” he said, ridiculing foreign narratives that suggested unintended destruction.

Doval clarified that the 23-minute aerial operation, conducted on May 7, was meticulously planned and executed with surgical precision, striking nine specific terror hubs deep inside Pakistan — far from the Line of Control — including Jaish-e-Mohammad’s headquarters in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba’s base in Muridke.

“We missed none and hit nowhere else,” he emphasized.

The NSA underlined the use of indigenous technology in the strike, showcasing India’s growing self-reliance in high-stakes security operations. He also dismissed claims by outlets like the New York Times, which he said misinterpreted satellite imagery to insinuate a wider military escalation or unintended impact on civilians.

“They wrote things, put out images — but only showed 13 air bases in Pakistan before and after May 10, including Sargodha, Rahim Yar Khan, Chaklala… All damage was theirs. We are capable of doing that.”

Operation Sindoor was launched days after the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, in which 26 civilians were killed, allegedly by Pakistan-backed operatives. India’s response — described by experts as one of the most sophisticated air raids since Balakot in 2019 — saw precision strikes on key terror infrastructures in both Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Pakistan responded with drone and missile launches, but India’s air defense systems successfully intercepted all incoming threats, preventing any retaliatory damage.

The operation concluded with India disabling or damaging 11 Pakistani airbases, according to intelligence assessments, marking a decisive strategic victory and sending a clear message about India’s evolving national security doctrine under the leadership of its defence and intelligence establishments.
