Nishikant Dubey Hits Back at Critics, Alleges Shiv Sena (UBT) Leader’s Property Buildup Amid Marathi-Hindi Row

Mumbai: Under fire for his controversial remarks against MNS chief Raj Thackeray and Hindi-speaking communities in Maharashtra, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has now gone on the offensive, releasing what he claims is a list of properties linked to a Shiv Sena (UBT) leader.

In a sharp post on X, Dubey wrote, “Shiv Sena UBT leader’s corruption story,” and shared details of several properties allegedly owned by the unnamed leader. The list includes:

  • A 3 BHK flat in New More, Santacruz
  • A 4 BHK apartment on 20th Road, Bandra
  • Flats in housing societies named Rachna’s, Rameshwar, Samrudhi, and Matrubhakti in Nallasopara
  • A flat in Air India Colony, Virar
  • A commercial shop in Kajupada, Borivali
  • A Konkan Restaurant in Nallasopara
  • A residential property in Kelve, Konkan

Without directly naming the person, Dubey added a taunt: “Paisa kahan se laate ho, bhai?” (Where do you get the money from, brother?)

This move comes days after Dubey sparked a political row by reacting strongly to Raj Thackeray’s recent remarks calling for action against Hindi-speaking individuals. In a widely circulated statement, Dubey had said, “If you have the guts to beat Hindi speakers, then beat Urdu, Tamil, and Telugu speakers too. And if you’re really a boss, come out of Maharashtra—go to Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, or Tamil Nadu. ‘Tumko patak patak ke maarenge’ (We’ll thrash you repeatedly).”

His aggressive tone has drawn widespread criticism from opposition parties in Maharashtra. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut demanded that other Hindi-speaking politicians condemn Dubey’s inflammatory comments, stating that such divisive language damages the social fabric of the state.
