Mumbai: Responding to BJP MP Nishikant Dubey’s recent post on X regarding language use in Parliament, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) MP Supriya Sule emphasized the importance of linguistic respect and cultural diversity.
Sule invoked the late BJP leader Arun Jaitley in her response, stating, “Arun Jaitley ji used to say – if you stop displaying it, people will stop talking about it.” She asserted that every state and region in India has the constitutional and cultural right to speak its own language.
“All MPs should respect each other’s languages — that is our culture and value system,” she added, calling for unity through mutual respect in the country’s multilingual parliamentary framework.
