Sanjay Raut Slams BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, Questions Silence of CM Fadnavis and Maharashtra Cabinet

Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut launched a fierce attack on BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, demanding strong condemnation from Hindi-speaking leaders over Dubey’s recent remarks, which were seen as offensive to Marathi people.

“Firstly, who is this Dubey?” Raut asked. “I appeal to the Hindi-speaking leaders in Maharashtra to denounce Dubey’s statement. Only then will I consider you truly from Maharashtra.”

Raut also criticized Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his Cabinet for remaining silent on the issue. “I’m shocked that the Maharashtra CM and his ministers are quiet when a BJP MP is making insulting statements about Marathi people. What kind of CM is this? He has no right to even take the names of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Balasaheb Thackeray.”

He further mocked Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leader Eknath Shinde, calling him a “duplicate” Sena chief. “Eknath Shinde should shave off his beard and resign. Let him go ask Modi and Shah what is going on in Maharashtra.”

Raut dismissed claims of attacks on Hindi-speaking people in the state. “There has never been violence against Hindi speakers in Maharashtra. These are lies being spread to divide people.”

Holding the ruling coalition accountable, Raut said, “It is the joint responsibility of Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde, and Ajit Pawar to deal with Nishikant Dubey’s remarks and restore public confidence.”
