Srinagar: In a compassionate outreach during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi visited a school in the border district of Poonch on Friday, where he interacted with children affected by Pakistan’s recent cross-border shelling.
Addressing a group of visibly shaken students, Rahul Gandhi offered words of hope and strength. “Now, you have seen danger and a little bit of a frightening situation, but don’t worry, everything will come back to normal. Your way of responding to this problem should be that you study and play really hard and make a lot of friends in school,” he said, urging them to remain focused and resilient.
Gandhi’s visit comes in the backdrop of rising tensions along the Line of Control (LoC), where Pakistani shelling has recently disrupted civilian life, especially in border villages. His interaction with the schoolchildren aimed to boost morale and reassure local communities of national solidarity.
