Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has accused Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi of visiting Pakistan at the invitation of the ISI. Sarma claimed he possesses documents supporting this explosive allegation and said he will release them after proper verification.

Gogoi swiftly rejected the accusation, calling it “baseless” and expressing concern about the Chief Minister’s mental well-being. He stated, “I am focused on the welfare of Assam’s children. Instead of slandering me, the CM should look into the rising dropout rates and deteriorating conditions in government schools.”

The war of words has triggered political tension in Assam, with the Congress dismissing the allegations as a diversionary tactic.
