Hampi: Karnataka witnessed a shocking crime on Thursday night as two women—a 27-year-old Israeli tourist and a 29-year-old homestay owner—were gang-raped by three men near Sanapur Lake, close to Hampi. The heinous assault occurred around 11:30 pm while the women, along with three male travelers, were stargazing near the Tungabhadra Left Bank Canal, reported News18.

According to police reports, the three accused arrived on a motorcycle, initially asking for directions to a petrol pump. They soon began demanding ₹100, and when refused, they attacked the group, pushing the three male tourists—Daniel (USA), Pankaj (Maharashtra), and Bibash (Odisha)—into the canal before sexually assaulting the women. Bibash is still missing, reported NDTV.
