Arvind Kejriwal intensified his attack on the BJP, alleging that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi continues to receive protection despite facing multiple criminal cases.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday made explosive allegations against the BJP-led Haryana government, accusing it of poisoning the Yamuna River water being supplied to the national capital. Kejriwal claimed that had the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) not intervened and stopped the contaminated water from entering Delhi, it could have resulted in a “mass genocide.”

“The people of Delhi get water from Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. In Yamuna, water flows from Haryana into Delhi. The BJP’s Haryana government has poisoned this water,” Kejriwal stated. He further accused the BJP of mixing a dangerous substance in the water, which he claimed could not be treated by the city’s water treatment plants. According to Kejriwal, this act has caused a severe water crisis, affecting one-third of Delhi’s population.

Kejriwal compared the BJP’s alleged actions to the use of biological weapons, likening it to an attack by an enemy nation. “This is the kind of politics usually done by enemy countries. The USA bombed Japan with nuclear bombs, and some countries use biological weapons to poison river water. But, the BJP government has done this,” he said.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has specifically accused the BJP government of adding ammonia to the Yamuna water, further exacerbating the water crisis in the capital.

In response to the crisis, AAP leaders Atishi and Bhagwant Mann have written to the Election Commission, seeking an urgent meeting to address the issue and ensure the safety of Delhi’s residents. Kejriwal expressed hope that the Election Commission would intervene to protect the people from what he described as a potential “tragedy.”
