New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled its second poll manifesto for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections on Tuesday, emphasizing key issues of employment and education, with a special focus on the youth. The manifesto, titled Resolution 2.0, was launched at the state office by senior party leaders, including BJP National President JP Nadda.

Building on their first manifesto, which promised financial support to women through the Mahila Samridhi Yojana, BJP has now pledged targeted measures to address youth employment and educational reforms in the capital. The party also reiterated its commitment to continuing all existing welfare schemes implemented in Delhi.

A major highlight of the manifesto is the promise to implement the Central Government’s Ayushman Bharat scheme in Delhi, providing health insurance coverage of ₹5 lakh for 51 lakh residents in the state. The BJP has criticized the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for depriving citizens of the scheme’s benefits and assured that this initiative would be passed in the first Cabinet meeting if the party comes to power.

In addition, JP Nadda announced an additional ₹5 lakh in health coverage to augment the Ayushman Bharat benefits, calling it a step towards a healthier Delhi. “This manifesto is not just a document but a foundation for a developed Delhi,” Nadda said at the launch.

Highlighting the consultative process behind the manifesto, Nadda shared that over 1.8 lakh feedbacks were collected through 12,000 meetings and 41 LED vans, emphasizing that the promises reflect the aspirations of Delhi’s citizens.

The Delhi Assembly elections, scheduled for February 5, are set to witness a three-way contest among the ruling AAP, BJP, and Congress. AAP, which won 62 out of 70 seats in 2020, remains the frontrunner, while the BJP, which secured eight seats in the previous election, aims to make significant inroads this time.
