The Mahayuti government in Maharashtra, led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, expanded its cabinet on Sunday with the induction of 39 ministers, including 18 first-time MLAs. The swearing-in ceremony, held in Nagpur, was officiated by Governor CP Radhakrishnan. With this expansion, the cabinet strength now stands at 42, just one short of the constitutional limit of 43 ministers.
The newly expanded cabinet includes representatives from the BJP, Shiv Sena, and NCP, reflecting the coalition’s efforts to balance regional and political representation. Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar were also present at the ceremony.
