Kiren Rijiju has defended the police response to the Delhi NEET protest and rejected allegations of excessive force.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju shared a personal anecdote during the Winter Session of Parliament, highlighting the underdeveloped infrastructure in his home region. He stated, “I come from such a region where I have seen an airplane first and cars later, because it was only after I became an MP that the roads for cars were built.”

Rijiju, who was leading the government’s charge in the Lok Sabha, also emphasized the importance of India’s Constitution, calling it “not just the largest, but also the most beautiful and inclusive Constitution in the world.” He highlighted its provisions for religious freedom and equal rights for all citizens, including minorities.
