Mumbai: Overwhelmingly Maharashtra has voted in the positive as far as the polling percentage for the 48 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state is concerned. When compared with the 2019 voter turnout data, 27 Lok Sabha constituencies recorded an increase in voting percentage. Whereas, 21 Lok Sabha constituencies have shown a sharp decline.
Given such a sharp increase of decline in voting percentages in some of the key constituencies of Maharashtra, it is anybody’s game. The results are just matters of hours away on June 4.
Bhiwandi Lok Sabha constituency has seen a massive increase of 6.69% in polling percentage. In 2019 elections Bhiwandi had recorded a polling percentage of 53.20%. In the just recently held polling, the constituency recorded a polling percentage of 59.89%.
In contrast, Shirur Lok Sabha constituency has seen a sharp decline of 5.28% in polling percentage. In the 2019 elections, Shirur had recorded a polling percentage of 59.44%. Whereas, in the just concluded polling, Shirur has recorded a polling percentage of 54.16%, a sharp decline of 5.28%.
