Nashik: The well respected SMBT hospital of North Maharashtra is now getting response from the entire state. In 2019, five lakh patients have taken treatment at the SMBT facility which offers state of the art and modern healthcare facilities.
Patients from 28 districts in the state like Pune, Ahmednagar, Thane, Mumbai and even the far off places like Marathwada have been treated at SMBT in the last one year.
The increase in trust by the people in SMBT is a matter of pride for all of us. The staff at the hospital works with the view that public service means working for the patients and so treatment to the needy and poor is given expeditiously at SMBT.
SMBT and clinics attached to it are treating 2500 patients everyday of which 1000 patients are treated on an Out Patient Department (OPD) basis.
A wide range of operations are conducted at SMBT. SMBT undertakes nearly 60-70 free surgeries everyday of which at least 15 are heart surgeries.
In 2019, SMBT along with 8 clinics attached to it had cumulatively treated 5,24,254 patients of which more than 30,000 patients were successfully operated upon of which 9167 surgeries were complicated in nature. And 3172 cardiac surgeries were also done last year.
The team of doctors working at SMBT have an experience of more than 30 years. SMBT has focused on treating accident patients, 1 patients, cardiac patients, cancer treatment and patients which require very urgent treatment.
The hospital is very systematically working on illnesses like increase incidence of cancer that are a result of the high level of pollutions.
Keeping in mind the response from patients, SMBT has started the work of setting up a Cancer care centre, independent neurosurgical centre, an independent private treatment department and also a palliative care centre.
