Pramod Hindurao, the NCP Vice President in Maharashtra, has vehemently denounced the derogatory comments made by Congress national spokesperson Mr. Surjewala towards Senior BJP MP Hema Malini. In a scathing statement, Hindurao criticized the Congress party for its repeated degradation of women in public life, highlighting a concerning pattern of disrespect towards female leaders.
The controversy erupted when BJP’s IT department head, Amit Malviya, shared a video capturing Surjewala’s offensive remarks against Malini. Surjewala’s statement, deemed “vile and sexist” by Malviya, sparked outrage as he insinuated demeaning treatment towards Malini and women in general. Surjewala’s comment, questioning the purpose of making MLAs and making a derogatory analogy involving Malini, drew widespread condemnation for its misogynistic undertones.
“This incident sheds light on the Congress mentality towards women leaders, showcasing a disturbing trend of abusive and derogatory statements,” remarked Hindurao. “The voters will undoubtedly respond by delivering a resounding message to any party that exhibits such disdain towards women.”
Malviya, in his criticism, pointed out the recurring instances of Congress leaders making derogatory remarks against women, emphasizing the urgent need for a shift in mindset within the party. He underscored that such behavior is reflective of Rahul Gandhi’s Congress, characterized by misogyny and a lack of respect for women.
