As the political landscape of India gears up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is poised to make a significant move to capture the attention of the nation’s youth. In a highly anticipated rally in Madhya Pradesh, scheduled for Wednesday, sources suggest that Gandhi will unveil a 10-point poll promise aimed specifically at the country’s youth and unemployed population.

The rally, slated to take place in the Badnawar District of Madhya Pradesh, will witness the presence of not only Rahul Gandhi but also Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, according to inside sources. This event is expected to mark the beginning of Congress’s concerted efforts to connect with various demographics ahead of the crucial elections.

The Congress Election Committee (CEC), led by Kharge, is reportedly set to convene shortly after the rally to finalize candidates for several states, including Kerala and Karnataka. Meanwhile, the BJP has already announced candidates for 195 constituencies, indicating a fierce electoral battleground in the days to come.

In parallel, the Congress party has been diligently crafting its manifesto for the Lok Sabha polls. Headed by former Finance Minister P Chidambaram, the manifesto committee has prepared a draft that is now awaiting deliberation by the Congress Working Committee. Chidambaram affirmed, “We have prepared the draft manifesto. Now it will go to the Congress Working Committee. They will finalize the manifesto then it will become the Congress party document.”

Among the highlights of Congress’s election strategy is its intent to engage with diverse voter segments. This includes assurances such as a legal guarantee for Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers, a promise echoed during the recent farmers’ ‘Delhi Chalo’ March. Moreover, the party has pledged to conduct a nationwide caste census if it assumes power.

To bolster its election machinery, Congress has deployed an impressive force of one lakh Booth Level Agents (BLA), signifying a robust grassroots approach to campaigning. With the Lok Sabha polls anticipated to be held in April-May, the party is leaving no stone unturned to make its mark on the electorate.

As the political narrative unfolds in the run-up to the elections, all eyes are on Rahul Gandhi’s imminent announcement, poised to set the tone for Congress’s election campaign and potentially reshape the contours of Indian politics.
