Maharashtra observed the auspicious occasion of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, also known as Shivaji Jayanti, on Monday, commemorating the birth anniversary of the revered Maratha warrior king. The state’s Chief Minister, Eknath Shinde, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, led the tributes by paying homage at the historic Shivneri Fort in Pune.

Addressing the gathered crowd at the event, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde hailed the indelible contributions of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, extolling him as a skilled administrator and a monarch who tirelessly championed the cause of the common people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also joined in paying homage to the founder of the Maratha empire, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, on his Jayanti. In his tribute, Prime Minister Modi reiterated his admiration for Shivaji’s military prowess and administrative acumen, reflecting on the enduring legacy of the much-revered Maratha king.
